"Being born and raised in Peru, I have had the opportunity to learn about the reality of the different social groups: very markedly different social situations have caught my attention from a very young age. So, I have decided since I was child to work to create change for people of my country. Currently, I am working to achieve my goals. Therefore, a PHD is the next step I would like to take in order to be specialized in a topic that I am passionate about. Also, I would like to improve my research skills and to feed my knowledge.

I have completed my undergraduate and postgraduate studies in Europe (Italy and Switzerland). I presented my degree theses related to socioeconomic phenomena that have positively impacted Peruvian development. My undergraduate thesis regarded “The positive impact on health and education from the remittances sent by Peruvian women from Italy to Peru ''; and my master thesis regarded “The advantages of Biotrade in Peru as an socio economic alternative for development”.

In the past years, I have been working in different sectors related to public policies in Peru: public management, international cooperation, agricultural policies, rural development, and social conflicts.Nowadays, I am working in international Switzerland cooperation as technical coordinator of a project regarding agroclimatic platforms in four regions of Peru . In addition, I have written opinion articles related to public management, rural development, and social mobilization as you can kindly read in the following link: https://veronica-gavidia91.medium.com/

My last research was a model of rural development reform in Peru, worked on behalf of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations."
