Member Profiles

Tim is Director of the Transport Studies Unit, a research institute within the School of Geography and the Environment at the University of Oxford. His research interests revolve around on the everyday mobilities of people, goods and information within and between cities, and he uses research on this topic to think through broader issues of urban transformation, wellbeing, inequality, sociotechnical change, governance, knowledge production and temporality. Originally from the Netherlands, he has worked in Oxford since 2009 where he has been involved in a wide range of mostly UK research council research projects focusing on different parts of the world.
