Member Profiles

Marcelo Sili is a Senior Researcher at CONICET (National Council for Scientific and Technical Research), University Professor in Argentina and in several Latin American and European countries. He coordinates the Center for Studies on Territorial Action and Development (ADETER), and numerous research projects in Argentina and Latin America.
His research focuses on the policies, practices and dynamics of territorial and rural development in the countries of the global south and especially in Latin America and Argentina and Paraguay.
He pays particular attention to the dynamics of rural rebirth, innovative forms of valorization of territorial resources (bioeconomy, diversification, new production logics), and finally to the creation of new models of planning and governance of development in rural areas. The forecasting and multiscale approach is a distinctive element in research projects
