I am a second year PhD Candidate at Cambridge University. My research is concerned with the experience of migration across generations. I examine this by focusing on the histories, life experiences and trajectories of Japanese migrants in Mexico. In particular, I am interested in Japanese people who settled in Mexico before Second World War and how their experiences during this period impacted on subsequent generations' sense of identity, inner community and external dynamics with Mexican Society.
