I am a PhD student at the Graduate Program in Human Geography (FAPESP scholarship), at the University of São Paulo, with master's and undergraduate degrees in Geography from the same institution. Over the past ten years I have been dedicated to understanding processes involving territorial self-management and indigenous autonomies in Latin America, with fieldwork in Ecuador, Chile, Uruguay, Paraguay, Bolivia, Peru, Colombia, Venezuela and Guatemala. During this period I have conducted two international research internships: in 2010, at the Universidad Nacional de La Plata (Argentina), researching the processes of Mapuche autonomy (financed by the Montevideo group) and in 2012, at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México/UNAM (Centro de Investigaciones sobre América Latina y el Caribe/CIALC), researching the processes of Zapatista autonomy (financed by FAPESP).I am a member of the working group of CLACSO "Pueblos indígenas, autonomías y derechos colectivos" (2019-2022) and in addition to academic research I have skills in the area of geoprocessing and audiovisual production, including professional work in this area (Sendero Filmes). My current area of interest is the Brazilian Amazon, especially with regard to socio-environmental and territorial issues involving indigenous peoples.
